Good morning [eiseres],
We would like to explain the situation.
Indeed our quality department deregister you from our system because you left the island for more than nine months and did not return.
and as you stated yourself and we confirmed in the immigration system you were living abroad (London, England). Our rules and regulations state that any person that is registered in the registry of Curacao must be indeed living on the island in order to stay registered.
And is obligated to register en derigester themselfs when living or leaving the island of Curacao.
So when you left you should have deregister yourself, because this was not done by you the civil registry did it, after confirming that you did not return after leaving the island.
No rights of yours were violated, the rules and regulations were applied like they would have been applied in any other similar case.
When you came to make your ID, this was taken from you because only a person that is registered and living on the island is allowed to have a ID from Curacao.
In your case you are not registered anymore so we will automatically take this from you.
The ID is property of the government from the Island of Curacao this is stated behind all our ID's.
We issue it and we are authorized to take it back when you do no have the right to have it anymore.
In regards to your citizenship the Immigratie en Naturalisatiedienst (IND) issued a letter dated 27-03-2017 stating that you have lost your Dutch nationality.
That means that you now only have the Jamaican nationality.
So in order for you to register yourself you have to apply for a residence permit at the immigration department, when this is approved and you receive it you can come with everything else that were explain to you by our employe to get yourself registered.
For more details about your Dutch nationality that was taken from you, you should contact the Governor's office or Immigratie en Naturalisatiedienst (IND).
I hope to have inform you enough.
